Congratulations to James Lavender, Lee Davis and Peter AC Varley for jointly winning the Gwent Closed Championships with 3.5/5 points. A hotly fought contest which allows them to jointly be names Gwent Champions. James did well to hold onto this title.

Congratulations to Ron Williams who came joint first in the U1600 section with Bob Hurn on 4.5/5.

Can we at Malpas, thank Chris Dixon for organising the Venue at the Sebastopol Social Club.

Thanks also to the organisations skills of Jon Gilbert and arbiter John Thornton.

A great Weekend and long may it continue as an annual event in Gwent.
